Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan faces former two-time flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo at the Galaxy Arena in Macao, China on November 23rd. Yan, who’s just recovering from a leg injury, will be looking to get back in the title race. Figueiredo, on the other hand, will be fired up to maintain his three-fight winning streak after defeating Marlon Vera in their last outing. In this betting guide, I’ll share my Yan vs Figueiredo prediction and the top Irish betting sites offering the best odds for this bout.

If you’re a high-risk punter, you can find value by backing Figueiredo to win on Sportaza at odds of 2.95 while light-hearted bettors can go for the obvious 1.40 odds for Yan. Seeing as both bantamweights have different fighting styles, it will take a good understanding of their strengths and fight records to choose the right person to bet on.
In the next section, I’ll go deeper into each fighter’s style, strengths, weaknesses, records, and fight history, but here’s my Yan vs Figueiredo fight prediction.
My Prediction: Petr Yan to Win🥊
⚡ Petr Yan Overview
Petr Yan UFC stats show that “No Mercy” went pro in 2014 and will be entering the Galaxy Arena in Macao with 17 wins and five losses on his record. The Russian uppercut jabber has once been an interim UFC bantamweight champion and a former UFC bantamweight champion. He has also won one UFC “Performance of the Night” and 3 “Fight of the Night” bonuses from some of his best fights.
The recent fight between Yan and Song Yadong was a significant moment for Yan’s fans. He suffered a challenging first round but managed to regroup in the second round with a relentless striking ability. It was the kind of fight that Yan needed to reset his mindset as it forced him to adapt mid-round, push forward, and put pressure like he did in the earlier stages of his MMA career.
Petr Yan has won 17 of his 22 fights with an astonishing seven wins by knockout and three first-round finishes. The 31-year-old knockout master has a striking accuracy of 54% and has landed 51% of his attempted 49 takedowns. Despite his most recent win against Yadong, he will be looking to bounce back from his recent two defeats as he takes on Figueiredo on November 23 in Macao. The only concern is whether Yan’s recent knee injury will affect his performance.
⭐ Deiveson Figueiredo Overview
Deiveson Figueiredo is a 35-year-old bantamweight with a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. “Deus Da Guerra”, as he is fondly called, is a former two-time UFC flyweight champion and like his opponent, he has won one UFC “Performance of the Night” and three “Fight of the Night” bonuses since going pro in 2012. According to Deiveson Figueiredo UFC stats, the “God of War” will be entering the ring come November 23rd with 24 wins, three losses, and one draw which he recorded when he faced Brandon Moreno in 2020 to retain his UFC flyweight title. Currently on a three-fight win streak, the Brazilian has won nine fights by knockout and nine by submission, using armbars, guillotines, arm triangle chokes, and RNCs in his fights to send his opponents screaming on the floor. The 5ft 7in fighter has recorded 11 first-round finishes against some of his fiercest opponents. Figueiredo is not prone to knockouts, so Yan’s knockout power might not be enough to take him out.
His last fight against Marlon Vera was a clear indication that he might not be vying for championship glory. In just 15 minutes, Figueiredo was able to out wrestle the lower-tier fighter but failed to deliver good strikes. While he’ll be entering the ring on an impressive winning streak, his recent victories over Font and Garbrandt have, however, failed to impress. Should he rely solely on wrestling and fail to deliver good strikes, he risks facing a great challenge against Yan.
🏆 Petr Yan v Deiveson Figueiredo Fight History
This bout will be the first time Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo will face each other inside the Octagon. Since going pro in 2014, Petr Yan has had 22 fights of which he has recorded a total of 17 wins. Most of his wins come by knockout while he has recorded three first-round finishes and only one by submission using the guillotine technique. Yan has won 12 of his last 16 fights and is best known for his 2017 unanimous decision win against Magomed Magomedov after suffering a split decision loss to the Russian mixed martial artist in 2016. To date, he has won the UFC bantamweight title once and was interim UFC bantamweight champion in 2021.
Deiveson Figueiredo, on the other hand, started his pro career two years earlier in 2012 and boasts a record of 24 wins from 28 fights. Nine of his wins have come by knockout and nine by submission. With 11 first-round finishes in his record, he’s among the top first-round finishers in the division, currently sitting in the 5th position in the bantamweight rankings. The Brazilian has won nine of his last 12 fights and is on a three-fight winning streak as he takes on Yan. While he currently competes in the bantamweight division, he is a former two-time UFC flyweight champion.
💥 Petr Yan vs Deiveson Figueiredo: The Long Road to the Match
Both fighters are already in the Top 5 status in the bantamweight division of the UFC currently ruled by Merab Dvalishvili.
Yan vs Figueiredo odds aside, I’m rooting for Yan to emerge victorious in this bout. It usually takes a couple of punches to get Yan into fight mode, so I won’t be surprised if he stands still in the first round. I see the first round being the most dangerous for Yan as Figueiredo is likely to target his injured leg with low kicks. He’ll have to pull his body back and rely on his overhand punches to protect that leg in the first round.
The Russian fighter’s chances of winning are high, especially considering his quick stand-ups and wrestling ability.
When Figueiredo faced Vera, he spent his time circling his opponent, so it’s likely he’ll repeat the same strategy to take down Yan in the second round. Yet, I don’t see Figueiredo having the strength or speed to block Yan’s barrage of punches.
While Yan’s injury puts him in the handicap zone should he get caught in a disadvantaged position against the cage, there’s a great chance for him to win this bout. Yan’s striking power is one of the most impressive I have seen, and he has outmuscled Yadong before, who is even more powerful than Figueiredo. Given both fighters’ durability and wrestling techniques, I don’t see an early knockout or submission happening until the fourth round.
