✔️ World Seniors Snooker Championship Betting Tips
When you are betting on this entertaining snooker championship, or any snooker event, there are plenty of different markets that you can opt to try your luck with. I always love it when there is a good array of markets available as it ensures that the entertainment levels remain high.
I am now going to have a look at some of the most popular markets among those who enjoy betting on this sport. I will also provide you with some top tips that you should keep in mind when you are placing bets on the 2024 World Seniors Snooker Championship.
Match Winner
The match winner is a betting option that will be available no matter the sport that you are betting on. With such a market, what you have to do is try to predict the player that will be victorious and advance to the next round. Other sports will have a draw option, but the majority of snooker events have a knockout format, meaning that there is no option of a draw.
Top Tip 1: When it comes to predicting the match winner in a snooker event, it is not as easy as simply betting on the player who is ranked higher - snooker is one of those sports where it is not rare for an underdog to put in a stunning performance and knock out a player who was touted as one of the favourites. So, when you are betting on someone to win a game, I recommend that you do not place your bet based on their rankings alone - do some research into the form that they are in.
Accumulator or Combination Betting
Accumulators have become really popular with Irish sports bettors due to the fact that they allow punters to possibly win some large cash amounts without having to put down a big stake. The odds are higher with such bets due to the fact that the odds for all of the selections in your acca are multiplied together.
For instance, if you make a 4-fold accy where you bet on O'Sullivan, Robertson, Carter, and Higgins to win at odds of 1.80, 1.90, 2.10, and 2.00, your total odds will be 14.36. So, if you decided to place 10 euros on that, and you got all four winners correct, you would land €133.60 in profit. The downside to combination betting is that you have to get every selection right to win the wager.
Top Tip 2: It might be tempting to place many accas due to the potential profit margins, but this is not something I suggest you do because they are notoriously hard to land. Also, do not put a load of selections in your accy just to boost the odds as you will seriously lower your chances of winning.
The Winner of the Next Frame
Sometimes you might be undecided as to who will go on and win a game, and in such a scenario you can think about betting on who will win the next frame instead. If they win the following frame and lose every one after that, it does not matter to you as your wager have been a winning one.
Top Tip 3: You might think that this is a 50/50 kind of bet, but it certainly is not. Obviously, if one player is in form and playing some good snooker, they will have a higher chance of winning the next frame. You need to strike at the correct time with such a market because the odds can be pretty low at time, which will not be worth your time. If you manage to time your bet correctly, you can land some quality odds and a nice potential profit.
Match Handicap
In the sports world there will sometimes be some big mismatches, and with such games the odds will not be favourable at all. For instance, if you bet on favourite, the potential profit will not be worth your while, while if you bet on the underdog, there is a good chance that you are just chucking your money away.
In such a situation, handicap betting is useful as it gives bettors the chance to give one of the participants a frame advantage of disadvantage. For example, you can give the favourite a disadvantage of two frames, which will make their odds more favourable. Or you will have the option of giving the underdog an advantage of two frames, which will give them a better chance of winning. Keep in mind that the odds will decrease though.
Top Tip 4: The odds for the best players will be low at the start of the event as they will be facing players that many expect them to beat. So, handicap betting is something that is best done at the start of a competition.
Highest Break
The best bookmakers will give their snooker punters the opportunity to place bets on who they think will score the highest break in a match or in the whole tournament. You will find higher odds for this market with regard to the whole tournament as it is much harder to predict the player who will top score out of everyone. The good thing about this kind of market is that it does not even matter if your selected player does not win the match or the title.
Top Tip 5: What makes snooker so exciting is the fact that the players have different characteristics and skills that help them have success, so before you go ahead and place a highest break bet, I suggest that you do some research to find the players that are in form and are known for their break building.
Outright Betting (Tournament Winner)
With this type of market, all that you need to do is try to correctly predict the player that will win the title and the hefty chunk of prize money.
Top Tip 6: Have a good look at the draw for the event as this will give some sort of indication as to the possible future opponents of players. Then you can have a look at the past performances against certain players, and if your selected player usually struggles against them, it is best to bet on something else. Also, it is wise to try and place outright winner bets at the start of the event because the odds will decrease as the competition is played and players get knocked out.
⚡ What Are the Best World Seniors Championship Snooker Betting sites?
There is no shortage of snooker betting sites that Irish snooker bettors can register with to place bets on popular snooker tournaments such as the Snooker Seniors Championship. I have done plenty of research, and have found five top sites for betting on this competition. These are:
- BoyleSports
- TonyBet
- Betway
- Luckster
- William Hill
BoyleSports
BoyleSports is a quality site for Irish snooker betting fans thanks to their competitive odds, variety of markets, a top in-play betting platform. As an Irish-based sports betting site, they know exactly what it is that their compatriots would like to bet on when it comes to snooker. They also provide their customers will all of the latest snooker news, which can come in handy when searching for something to bet on.
There is €40 on offer to those who register with BoyleSports and make a first deposit of at least €10. You will get €30 of free bets to use on sporting events, while the remaining €10 can be used on their casino games.
You can find out even more about this quality bookie by reading our BoyleSports review.
TonyBet
If a sportsbook does not have a good variety of markets on offer, then it is one that you should think about avoiding as a lack of markets can lead to high levels of boredom. You will definitely not have any issues with market variation at TonyBet as they have thousands on offer. When the 2024 World Seniors Championship is being played, you will not be lacking in betting options.
The maximum welcome offer that you can claim if you open an account with TonyBet is €100 - this is a 100% match deposit offer. Not many bookmakers out there will offer new customers such a splendid bonus.
Here is a link to our TonyBet review, for those who would like to find out a lot more.
Betway
Some bookmakers have earned a reputation as being a top place to go to bet on sports, and Betway is a bookmaker that fits into such a category. When you are betting on snooker competitions such as the World Seniors Championship, you will not be upset with the odds or market variation - whether you are betting in-play or pre-match. Also, they will sometimes live stream the best matches from particular snooker events.
If you make up your mind that Betway is going to be your go to place to put bets on snooker events, then your first bet, although you have to pay, will be a free bet. This is because if your bet goes on to be a losing one, the stake, up to the €50, will be returned in the form of a free bet.
Our Betway review will help you to figure out whether this is the site that you have been looking for.
Luckster
Luckster is another Irish-based sportsbook, but it is lacking in experience when compared to the other sportsbooks that I have mentioned in this guide. They might only be a little over a year old, but they have clearly shown that they are going to make it big in this industry. The odds that are on offer are some of the best around, while market variety should not be an issue either.
However, where they stand out among their peers is through their bonuses and promos. When it comes to their welcome offer, they will match a newbie's first deposit up to the value of €100. With regard to promos for existing players, there is a winnings boost that can give a boost as high as 77%.
Have a read of our detailed Luckster review if you would like to find out more before registering.
William Hill
We all know that William Hill is well known among horse racing bettors, but what you might not know is that it is actually a top place to bet on all of the big snooker events. They offer snooker markets that are exclusive. For example, you will be able to put money on the player that will win a particular session or who will sink the first red in the match. For all their markets, you will find competitive odds.
William Hill will treat their new punters to two free bets that are worth €15 each, and there is nothing stopping you from using these free bets on snooker events such as the World Seniors Championship. They also have a snooker betting guide that can come in handy.
Our William Hill review will tell you everything else you need to know about this site.
N.B. Bonuses and promos that you encounter at gambling sites will all come with a variety of T&Cs attached, and it is important that you take the time to familiarise yourself with them. If you fail to do so, then there is a chance that you will forfeit the bonus - something you obviously do not wish to happen.
