✔️ European Masters Snooker Betting Tips 2023

Snooker has become a popular sport for Irish punters to bet on due to the fact that there are plenty of markets that can be bet on. Here we are going to be looking at some of the most popular European Masters snooker betting options.

Match Winner

This is one of the most common markets that you can bet on in sport, and what you are tasked with doing is predicting the player that will go on to win a particular match. In some sports you will be able to bet on the draw, but this is not possible in the snooker betting world as draws are not a thing. As this is a simple betting market, it is a great choice for those who are new to betting on snooker.

Top Tip 1: The top-ranked players will often beat the lesser-ranked players, but there is usually a shock or two at big ranking events. I recommend that you do not bet on a player to win simply because of their ranking - make sure to check out their form.

Accumulator or Combination Betting

Accumulators are great bets for those who want to place a small stake while still being in with a shot of winning large cash prizes. The reason for this is because the odds for all of your selections will be multiplied together to give a combined total. However, you need to remember that with accumulator bets you need every prediction to be correct in order to win.

Top Tip 2: I'm aware that it can be enticing to add many selections to an accumulator in order to increase the odds, but I don't recommend that you do this as your chances of losing will also increase. Only bet on those markets that you are familiar with, and remember to gamble responsibly.

The Winner of the Next Frame

If you do not want to bet on the winner of the match, then you can also consider betting on the player that you think will win the next frame. With such a market, all your chosen player has to do is win the next frame - if they go on to lose every other frame and lose the match, it will have no impact on your next frame winner bet.

Top Tip 3: You need to know when to pick your moment with this betting market. If you bet on someone who has just won three frames on the bounce, then the odds that are on offer will be pretty low. Try to time your bet perfectly so that there is a perfect ratio of odds and chances of landing a decent profit.

Match Handicap

Handicap betting comes in handy when there is a complete mismatch in terms of perceived quality between two players. In such a scenario, the favourite's odds will be so low that you would need to place a big stake for any decent profit, while betting on the underdog might just be a sure way to lose money. To level the playing field, bookies give you the chance to hand out frame advantages or disadvantages to improve the odds or increase the chances of an underdog winning.

Top Tip 4: Odds for top players such as Neil Robertson, Judd Trump, Mark Allen, and Ronnie O'Sullivan at the start of the competition will be low since they will be playing players of lesser quality, so this is when you should think about handicap betting.

Highest Break

The top sportsbooks will let you bet on the player that you think will score the highest break of a particular match or across the whole tournament. Obviously, the odds on offer for the latter will be higher than those available for the former. Your chosen player does not need to win the match or the tournament, so long as nobody scores a higher break than them.

Top Tip 5: Do plenty of research so that you can find out the players that regularly make high breaks. Trump, Higgins, O'Sullivan, and Allen are some of the best break builders currently playing the game.

Outright Betting

With an outright bet, what you are doing is betting on the player that you think will go on and lift the trophy.

Top Tip 6: Looking at the potential route to the final for your chosen player is a wise move as you can see whether there is a chance that they will come up against players who they have struggled against in the past. Additionally, place your outright bets as early as possible as the odds will shorten the deeper into the competition that the player goes.

⚡ Top European Masters Betting Sites

Due to snooker's popularity, Irish snooker bettors have plenty of choice when it comes to bookmakers that they can register with to wager on the European Masters. However, some bookies are better than their rivals, with five of the best ones being:

  • BoyleSports
  • TonyBet
  • Betway
  • Luckster
  • William Hill

BoyleSports

The people of Ireland are very patriotic, and it just so happens that one of the best sportsbooks around for betting on the European Masters 2023 is BoyleSports, an Irish-based site. They always offer quality odds for the 41 sports that they have on offer, while there are plenty of in-play snooker betting options available for those who sign up here. Those who register with BoyleSports will be able to claim €30 worth of free bets and €10 to spend at their online casino once you have made a qualifying bet of €10. They also offer their own betting tips for the big snooker events.

If you would like to find out even more about this top sportsbook, then feel free to check out our BoyleSports review.

TonyBet

When it comes to betting on any sport, the number of markets that are on offer is really important since variety is what helps to keep things entertaining. When it comes to market variety, there are not many bookmakers out there that can compete with TonyBet. Whether it is the European Masters or some other snooker event, you'll be able to bet on markets such as the match winner, total frames, the correct score, and do some handicap betting. The odds that are on offer will be competitive too. Those who sign up here can claim a 100% deposit match up to €100.

Find out more by reading our TonyBet review.

Betway

Betway is a sportsbook that has become synonymous with quality for sports bettors all over the world. No matter what sport it is that you would like to bet on, you will find that Betway has got your back. For big snooker events such as the European Masters, you will find competitive odds as well as plenty of pre-match and in-play markets. What makes them a top place for snooker bettors is that they regularly have live streams for the big events. If your first Betway bet loses, then you can claim your stake back, up to the value of €50, as a free bet.

Our Betway review will tell you more about this top sportsbook.

Luckster

Luckster is another sportsbook that is based in Ireland, and while it has some way to go before it catches up with BoyleSports, I have no doubt that it will make it there one day. They have only been in existence since 2022, but do not let their newness put you off. When it comes to snooker odds and markets, they will not disappoint you, but where they stand out is in the bonus department. Alongside their 100% match up to €100, they also offer odds boosts and win boosts up to 77% to their regular customers.

Read our Luckster review to find out everything else that you need to know.

William Hill

William Hill is known as a top place for Irish punters to go to bet on horse racing and greyhound racing, but many are unaware of the fact that it is a site that has been specialising in snooker betting for some time now. You will find some snooker betting markets at William Hill that you will struggle to find elsewhere - for instance, you can bet on the mini session score or the player to pot the first red in a particular frame. Additionally, they have competitive odds and quality promotions. If you sign up with them, you can claim two free bets that are worth €15 apiece.

To find out more about this sportsbook, check out our quality William Hill review.

N.B. All of the bonuses that we mentioned above are subject to T&Cs. Please always make sure to read the terms that apply before claiming any bonus or promotion. Additionally, always remember to gamble responsibly.

🏆Winners of European Masters Snooker

The European Masters was first played in 1989 in Deauville, France, and was won by John Parrot, who defeated Terry Griffiths 9-8 in the final. Like it still is today, it was a knockout event, meaning that one defeat was enough to send a player crashing out. Since then, this event has been played in the Netherlands, Belgium, Malta, Ireland, England, Romania, Belgium, Austria, and Germany. In 2008, the event was discontinued, but it was brought back in 2016, and has been played nearly every year since. Stephen Hendry is the most successful player in this competition with four titles under his belt.
