Clare are the favourites for this one and with good reason. Alongside Cork they look for the best place to challenge Limerick this year for the All-Ireland crown and are growing in confidence as the championship develops. They have won 3 of their 5 championship games, only suffering defeats to All Ireland champions Limerick by 3 points in the round-robin phase and by 6 points in the Munster Final. They have put in some strong performances this season, especially in a narrow two point victory over Cork where they scored 3-26. They will be disappointed that they did not run Limerick closer in the Munster Final, especially considering that the sides were level at half time. They started the game very strong but did not take advantage and Limerick eventually took control. They will need to respond versus Wexford or their championship will be over.
