✔️ Royal Ascot Betting Tips
Royal Ascot starts on Tuesday June 18th, the first of five fantastic day of top quality racing and, with the starting gates soon to be opened, I've picked out four horses to follow across the week for my top Ascot racing tips.
✅ Notable Speech to win the St James's Palace Stakes
The opening day feature race is the St James's Palace Stakes and it should see Notable Speech making it successive Group 1s after his 2000 Guineas victory at Newmarket. The second and third have since fought out the finish in the Irish Guineas and at 2.20 with LeoVegas Charlie Appleby's colt looks a good bet to stay unbeaten.
✅ Whistlejacket to win the Norfolk Stakes
Aidan O'Brien is Royal Ascot's most successful trainer of all time and he's making no secret of how good he thinks Whistlejacket can be. The trainer admits it was a shock that his colt got beaten on debut, though it was only behind a smart horse, and he easily won a Listed race next – beating a subsequent Group 3 winner. He's available at odds of 2.50 with BoyleSports and should be hard to beat.
✅ Bucanero Fuerte each-way in the Commonwealth Cup
Adrian Murray's Bucanero Fuerte was a good third behind River Tiber in the Coventry Stakes last season at this meeting over C&D and has now won 4-6 career starts following his seasonal bow victory in a Group 3 at Naas. His Ascot experience will be key and he's got leading claims in the Commonwealth Cup at odds of 9.00 with Spreadex Sports.
✅ Regional each-way in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes
The final Group 1 race of the meeting is the QEII Jubilee Stakes on day five, a 6f event open to older sprinters. Regional ran well in the Nunthorpe at York last season over 5f before winning Haydock's Group 1 Sprint Cup in September. Trainer Ed Bethell will have been pleased with last month's comeback run when second to Mitbaahy at the Curragh and he should be spot on now. He's 13.00 with Unibet.
Betting Market | Selection | Odds |
---|---|---|
2024 St James's Palace Stakes | Notable Speech | 2.20 |
2024 Norfolk Stakes | Whistlejacket | 2.50 |
2024 Commonwealth Cup | Bucanero Fuerte | 9.00 |
2024 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes | Regional | 13.50 |

Ante-Post selection bets are those placed well ahead of the meeting. Often, the odds on ante-post bets are higher, but punters will lose their money even if their selection doesn't run in the race. Final declarations for Royal Ascot races come 48 hours before raceday and any bets after that point are no longer considered ante-post.
