Each year, music fans worldwide start getting excited when May rolls around as this is when the Eurovision Song Contest usually takes place. The 2024 edition of this music competition will take place between the 7th and 11th of May, and it is always fun to try and predict which of the 26 finalists will go on and win the title. So, keep on reading to find out who I think will end up as the Eurovision winner 2024.
💯 Eurovision 2024 Semi-Final 1 Odds
The first Eurovision 2024 semi-final will take place on the 7th of May, and many top bookies that Irish punters can sign up with will give their punters odds and markets for semi-final 1. In the table below, you will be able to find five top sports betting sites and the odds that they are offering at present for each nation to go on and win, booking themselves a spot in the final.

N.B. I have given the odds for the top ten contenders from each semi-final - if you want to find out the odds on offer for the remaining participants, you can do so by heading over to your selected bookmaker's site.
As you can see from the above table, Croatia are the favourites to go on and win Semi-Final 1. Ukraine are the second favourites to claim the win, while the other contestants are not given much hope of winning. Whatever happens, we can be pretty sure that both Croatia and Ukraine will be competing in the final on Saturday evening.
💯 Eurovision 2024 Semi-Final 2 Odds
The second Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Thursday the 9th of May, and the top bookmakers will also have semi-final 2 odds available to those who want to try and predict the winner of the Eurovision semi-final 2. Just like I did for the first semi-final, below you can find a table of the odds that my five favourite bookies are currently offering. Once again, I have opted to focus on the top ten:

Netherlands | 1.48 | 1.48 | 1.48 | 1.36 | 1.36 |
Switzerland | 4.65 | 4.65 | 4.70 | 5.00 | 5.00 |

Austria | 27.00 | 27.00 | 27.00 | 29.00 | 29.00 |
Norway | 35.00 | 35.00 | 35.00 | 34.00 | 34.00 |

Estonia | 76.00 | 76.00 | 80.00 | 51.00 | 51.00 |
As you can see from the odds above, the Netherlands are the big favourites to win Semi-Final 2 and book themselves a spot in Saturday's final. The next two favourites are Switzerland and Israel and, although it is looking unlikely that they will win, it would be really surprising if they did not also make it to the finale.
💯 Eurovision 2024 Final Odds
A total of 26 countries will be taking part in the Eurovision 2024 Grand Final - the ten countries that qualify from both semis, the big five (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom), and Sweden, who qualified automatically courtesy of winning last year's event.
Obviously, at this moment in time, we do not know the full list of competitors for the final, but this has not prevented the best betting sites from offering early Eurovision winner odds. Below are the odds that my top bookies are offering for the top ten potential winners. I have not given you the odds for each participant since many will not make it through the semi-finals, let alone win the whole thing.

United Kingdom | 76.00 | 76.00 | 80.00 | 76.00 | 76.00 |
As you can see from the above odds for the Eurovision 2024 Grand Final, Croatia are the favourites with the bookmakers at the moment to lift the title. If they do go on and win the competition this year, it would be the first time that they have won this prestigious music competition.
🎵 Eurovision 2024 Favourite Songs
There have been some top tunes at Eurovision down the years. For example, not many will forget Euphoria by Loreen, Waterloo by ABBA, Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz, Fairytale by Alexander Rybak, Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordie or Space Man by Sam Ryder - which should have won it in 2022.
There are some top entries this time around as well, and below I am going to take you through the five that I believe have a good chance of writing their names into Eurovision history. If you have not heard any of these songs yet, then head over to YouTube and give them a listen.
1️⃣ Croatia - Rim Tim Tagi Dim by Baby Lasagna
This is a project developed by composer, performer, and author Marko Purišić. The laid-back and humorous lyrics are blended skilfully with industrial metal to give us a sound that is reminiscent of Rammstein. He has also been compared to Käärijä, who was the runner-up in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
Purišić is no stranger to the ESC as in 2019 he took part in Croatia's national selection to compete at that year's edition, but he ended up finishing in 4th place. Baby Lasagna has made a little name for itself already with popular singles such as "Don't Hate Yourself, But Don't Love Yourself Too Much" and "IG Boy".
It is now the favourite with the bookmakers to win the 2024 edition. Even if Purišić does not go on to claim Croatia's first ever win in the Eurovision, his song will definitely have your head bobbing and tapping your feet.
2️⃣ Switzerland - The Code by Nemo
Nemo is a name to remember because we will be hearing plenty about him in the lead up to the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest and beyond. The title, "The Code", is very short for a song that mixes styles and genres such as rap, bass, drum, and opera. If you pay attention when you are listening, you should be able to hear offbeat melodies and orchestral constructions that remind you of songs from top bands such as Queen and The Beatles.
The song evokes him becoming more and more aware of his non-binary identity. Nemo already has four EPs and shows off his creative musical talent in this fun song. If he goes on to win this year's competition, it will be the first time since 1988 that the Swiss have won this event.
3️⃣ The Netherlands - Europapa by Joost Klein
Joost Klein is another artist who will raise a few eyebrows at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. In order to try and bring home the trophy for the Dutch, he has decided to cleverly mix rap and mainstream pop. He has become a household name throughout the Netherlands as he is a former YouTuber who has released no fewer than eight albums, two of which actually managed to reach the Top 10 in the Netherlands' top 100 albums chart.
4️⃣ Italy - La Noia by Angelina Mango
Italy will definitely be in the final on the 11th of May as they are one of the Big 5, and the bookmakers feel that there is a good chance that they will make it onto the podium. Angelina Mango, who is just 23 years of age, will be singing for her country as she won the Festival di Sanremo - the competition that Italy uses to determine who competes for them at this prestigious music event.
Performer, composer, and author, Angelina Mango is a talented woman with more than one string to her bow. Last year she also finished second in Amici di Maria De Filippi, an Italian talent contest.
5️⃣ Ukraine - Teresa and Maria by Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil
Ukraine won this competition back in 2022, although we all know that Sam Ryder should have won it for the United Kingdom. According to the bookmakers, they have a pretty decent chance of doing well this year as they have entered a song that is a beautiful collaboration between two of the most talented artists in Ukraine. Alyona Alyona is a very popular rapper, while Jerry Heil has racked up millions of views on YouTube with his songs. Their song was written to remind everyone that we are all capable of reaching huge heights.
🏆 Eurovision 2024 Winner Prediction
Let me now give you my Eurovision predictions for the three major Eurovision events.
Regarding Semi-Final 1, I think that the bookmakers will not be wrong and Croatia will finish top of the pile. The Eurovision Song Contest is all about fun and catchy songs, and this one definitely slots into that category. It will have no difficulty making it through to the final on Saturday.
When it comes to Semi-Final 2, I am going to go against the bookmakers and back Switzerland to come out on top. It will be between the Swiss and the Dutch, but neither will have any issues when it comes to qualifying for the final as both are quality songs that both the public and judges should love.
Who is the favourite to win Eurovision? Well, at the time of writing, Croatia are the current favourites. I know that many punters would be tempted to just lump some money on the Eurovision favourites since it is a very catchy song that will get you up and dancing about. However, I am going to back Switzerland to win because their song is very original and just as catchy as Croatia's. It is a brilliant song and Nemo has some stunning vocals to boot.
My 2024 Eurovision Prediction: Switzerland to win.
